I am messaging you all in hopes of returning to something that we have not had the luxury of aboard the R2. I do not judge the lack of it, but change needs to occur. I feel that we should take the laws that govern our society aboard the R2 and do more than simply imprison those who break those laws. We need to train at least two residents aboard the ship as lawyers, as well as instituting court proceedings that include a jury, when necessary.
I believe we have a duty to those we serve to ensure that they are represented fairly, that they are allowed a voice, or else we are only repeating the actions that harmed many of us.

You bring up a critical issue in our peacekeeping infrastructure. While I myself am a lawyer, I find myself lacking in assistance when we are seeing multiple cases at once. The existing system in place was enough when we were a small crew, but as our community grows, a stronger bureaucracy is needed.
I am willing to join you in a meeting to discuss the changes to be made. Our security team numbers have dwindled, and we must attract new members to take part in running the court system. I will prepare an outline for the ship-wide process for our review.
