Precisely. I imagine no matter how much we fine-tune this, we'll still have some bumps when we get it out the door... But I have confidence you and your team can handle that.

[ They've been managing things fairly well so far, in his opinion. The disappearance is just one of those things that happen, like those Factory raids that have taken his own by surprise more than any of them would like. ]

[The question does not come as a surprise. Minimus has now accepted that he will be a common target for dating attempts now that he is no longer tied to Megatron. He gives Sky-Byte a polite nod as he holds a datapad tightly in his arm.]

Is there any particular reason why you wish to attend with me? [Because...this guy's poetry is terrible and if someone else is going to propose a date, Minimus needs to compare their qualifications.] There are many mechs with whom I can attend the ball. Are you familiar with the customs of an upper-class gathering?

On another note… Are you considering going to the ball? [ There’s hesitance in his voice, and it has nothing to do with actually asking another mech out. ] …I’m not certain I should.

[ There's a somewhat staticky chuckle. ] I'm not that worried about how it reflects on me. I'm just not one for parties where I don't know most mechs. Though... Maybe I'll briefly show up if you're attending. Even if I'm not sure I'll be able to construct a mask that lives up to the theme.

I don't believe so. If this is a proper ball, we should be given dance cards to claim a partner for the music. However, I suppose there is a sort of celebration given to those that show up as couples.

I would not be opposed to that. We can review what to wear after work. Is that acceptable?
