I wish we had more time. You're intelligent, dutiful, thorough, good-natured, and ultimately kind. You want to make the universe a better place than you left it. I want to be able to get to know you more than I do now. I know that ultimately, this relationship may go nowhere, but after so many years living as someone else, I want to know what it is like to be selfish. If we could ignore everything else you had done during the war, no one would mind that I wish to spend my time with someone who understands me.
