We recovered one of the Matrices and encountered a new Slaverlord.
[which is slightly easier than saying they failed to stop him. megatron looks down at the message and finds himself mildly surprised at how easy it is to tell minimus of the matrix, something he does not intend to tell near anyone else.]
If it means anything, I am glad you have returned.

Who are they?
no subject
We witnessed his "creation" and fought him, but did not put him down.
no subject
Was he alone?
no subject
Perhaps I should've been able to stop him from escaping.
What is a "shade" of Acumen? A double?
no subject
His pure hatred for Cybertronians kept him corporeal for centuries, and his magic was fueled by said emotion.
I worry what may happen with the current Lord Acumen.

Do you think he was aware of his spectre?

[his typing bubble remains up for a while as he types out and erases about fifty different messages in different ways.]
Let me know when you are amenable to company.

I might need something relaxing to do in a few hours.

I will take a nap and text you when I wake.

It's 2 in the morning.
Megatron gets a text.]
Are you awake?
no subject
Yes.
[it's not like minimus to message so late, even if he's just woken up.]
What is your status?
no subject
Also, I am unable to sleep or focus.
no subject
I could use some help down here, if you have spare time before your shift in Security begins.

[Minimus looks over himself one last time, making sure there's no dirt on his frame, and walks downstairs towards the library. He knocks on the entrance - yes, his room is open to the public, but its not during official working hours. Knocking is expected.]
no subject
it's new to him, this caring so much.] Please, come in.
no subject
Were you working late? [He pauses by one of the bookshelves - a row of nonfiction awaits. When he's tired but unable to sleep, a good book helps him relax.]
no subject
[and it's paying off, all this hard work; it's why he decided to start learning how to fix things. he can see the tangible results. you'd never know a bomb went off in the library and the pile of datapads that need fixing is getting smaller.]
I want this finished, and it would be irresponsible to ask anyone else to do it. [he shrugs a shoulder, leaning against one of the shelves near where minimus is looking. they're anchored down now - not permanently - but in the event of another explosion they won't get knocked over. not good for the datapads that'll have to absorb the kinetic energy instead, but better for anyone that might be seeking shelter.] I like the work, anyway. A bit of monotony does you good.
no subject
They're sturdy. I appreciate the additional safety measures. I wonder why the anchors aren't code standard? [Because it's a generally useless thing in normal libraries.] Do you need assistance in measuring, or in applying the bolts?
no subject
no subject
What are they?
no subject
[he shifts to the other side of the table where he was working before he apparently face planted.]
...Ask me if you need anything.
[megatron also knows that minimus enjoys working in silence. if he wishes to say anything, he will.]
